Our Mission
Restoration Ranch provides a safe haven for equine learning and development that nurtures the well-being of veteran families through the gift of the horse.
The ranch is owned by a non-profit and operated as an experiential learning center for the benefit of veterans and the second-chance horses that live there.
Located in Bastrop, Texas the ranch is a place where veterans, horses, and the land each contribute to the health and well-being of the others. It provides access to a rural way of life that embraces holistic health, sustainable agriculture, and community-building programs aimed at restoring the physical vitality, and emotional and spiritual health of all involved.
Who We Help
Veterans
We provide a safe and supportive environment where veterans can reconnect with themselves and others. Through our equine programs, veterans experience emotional healing, physical rejuvenation, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Veteran Caregivers
Caregivers and family members are often the unseen heroes behind every veteran's journey. We offer respite and support through specialized programs designed to nurture their well-being, helping them restore balance and find community with others who understand their unique challenges.
Second Chance Horses
Our ranch also serves as a haven for second-chance horses. These incredible animals, once neglected or abandoned, are rehabilitated and retrained to assist in our programs. Together with veterans and caregivers, they form deep, healing bonds that transform lives.
Veteran & Caregiver Programs
Restoration Ranch provides veteran families with an opportunity to learn from the horses, build connections within the local community, contribute to service-oriented projects and generally enjoy a safe-haven for personal growth and fulfillment through our experiential learning programs.
